Our summer program is a direct continuation of the children’s school year. The day’s activities will be adjusted to include more nature study, gardening, art, music and outside work and play. We take planned field trips to “get better acquainted” with our community and to develop appreciation for art and drama. Bright Beginnings draws on our staff’s creative talents to design a special focus for each session, enriching areas of the curriculum that they might touch on during the school year, but taking advantage of the opportunity to go into more depth in the summer. We are fortunate to have a wonderful group of teachers from the faculty willing to work with us to develop such a program.
Pre-Nursery and Nursery Summer Programs
The program runs for 8 or 9 weeks, from the end of the school term. Parents are welcome to choose 2 or more weeks enrollment, 2, 3, 4 or 5 days a week. We offer programs for children 18 months through 5 years of age. The summer program is not in session the last week of August.
